{"id":9316,"date":"2019-09-20T15:00:08","date_gmt":"2019-09-20T13:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ntsmoulding.com\/?p=9316"},"modified":"2019-10-25T11:07:36","modified_gmt":"2019-10-25T09:07:36","slug":"faq-6-thermoset-applications","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ntsmoulding.com\/en\/2019\/09\/20\/faq-6-thermoset-applications\/","title":{"rendered":"<span class=\"light\">FAQ<\/span> 6 &#8211; In which applications is thermoset successfully used?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Thermoset<\/strong> is successfully used in different applications, in particular where <strong>specific mechanical and thermal features<\/strong> are needed.<\/p>\n<p>It is used, for instance, in the <strong>electrical and electromechanical field<\/strong>: let\u2019s think of <strong>electrical motors<\/strong> where <strong>BMC<\/strong> is over-moulded onto magnets and windings of rotors and stators.<\/p>\n<p>Thermoset proved to be <strong>very performing<\/strong> even in a lot of <strong>metal replacement<\/strong> cases, i.e. when a <strong>metal component<\/strong>, for example in die-casting, is replaced by a <strong>thermoset one<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In this specific branch, we have a certain experience: for example we have replaced metal in some components of <strong>electrical motors<\/strong>, <strong>cogged housings<\/strong>, <strong>mechanic-textile supports<\/strong> and <strong>valve bodies<\/strong>.\u00a0We work with the customer and support him in <strong>technical choices<\/strong> of materials, reaching <strong>quality goals<\/strong> with more and more <strong>sustainable costs<\/strong>, \u00a0keeping a constant <strong>high level of safety for all the components<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>An interesting example of application of <strong>thermoset material<\/strong> is when we have been asked to realise a <strong>second level underwater snorkel<\/strong>.
